At the Istrian coast a typically Mediterranean climate prevails with hot summers and mild winters. Istria belongs to the areas of Europe with the largest duration of sunshine. The bath season begins its high point in May and reaches in the months July and August.

The climate is controlled mainly by three hoists:
Bura – the strong northeast wind, which provides in the summer for radiating sun days.
Jugo – the warm and slow-acting south wind, which often brings rains.
Maestral  those recreating Brise in the afternoon of the west or northwest coming.
